✯ Ninth Session ✯ [Voice]

Hey everyone, Paprika here. Word around the village is that we got new people coming in here again. Sorry to everyone who got roped into this crazy place - if you don't think it suits your needs that is. This place can be really insane sometimes, but remember: you aren't alone here. We all deal with the same scientists and helping each other out isn't a crime and you shouldn't feel bad reaching out for help either!

If anyone has anything they want to discuss, I'll be always available so long as I am around this place! I'm a trained and liscensed psychologist back home and things will always be kept private between us. I promise I'm not a big gossiper.

But, enough of that! I think a game would be fun to play. To break the ice and whatnot. So, lets play Two Truths and a Lie. You introduce yourself and then make three statements. One of them has to be a lie and the other two are truth things. The person needs to guess what is the lie and what are the truthes. You can tell a lot about someone from the things they say and the things they don't say, so it could be fun. I definitely encourage the new people to play along with me. Look I'll go first.

Lets see...

My name is Paprika.

I have saved the world from the brink of doom!
I have been in Luceti for over a year so far.
I once ate 10 hotdogs under five minutes.

Oh and you should tell me why you think the statement is a lie too, just for added fun!

Oh, wow! You ate ten hotdogs in under five minutes!? That's more than two hotdogs a minute! [Yup, he's impressed and forgot one of these things are suppose to be a lie.]
herotypical: [ wtf ; uncertain ; action ] (✝ you mocked me - it shocked me)

[personal profile] herotypical 2011-11-12 07:08 pm (UTC)(link)
[ because this won't be awkward. ]

I'll pick lie the third. No one would ever want to eat that many hot dogs ever.

[... Yup, this won't be awkward.]

The... third one?

What a wonderful way of looking at things! I'll have to keep it in mind, Paprika. Thank you!

...Oh, sorry, I nearly forgot! Um, I think the lie is that you've been in Luceti for a year. That would he horrible...

And my name is Medli. I play music on the harp, I deliver mail across the Great Sea, and I'm studying to be an attendant!

Third's a lie. [ deadpan as ever. ] With something like this, people would usually add at least one extreme extraordinairy true fact about themselves along with an extreme but somewhat ordinairy false fact about themselves to make believe believe the former true one is actually the false one, right?

... That, and this place seems to have a thing for pulling in people who are involved with world saving events, so it isn't too ridiculous.

Saved the world? What do you mean by that?

[voice]

[identity profile] squaring.livejournal.com 2011-11-12 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh... [Musing to himself! Kid has no idea that he can be heard.] There are definitely people who've been here that long, right? And it'd be a little rude to doubt she could save the world, even if she might mean it figuratively...

[Okay, answer reached!]
Ah, it's the third one, right?

[identity profile] lookslikeajob.livejournal.com 2011-11-12 09:14 pm (UTC)(link)
You know, it's pretty reassuring to know we have someone with your kind of skills among us, Miss Paprika.

As for the game... I'd find the first one unbelievable back home, but here it's downright unsurprising. The second is easily believable if a bit depressing... so I'm gonna have to go with the third being the lie by process of elimination.

The third one has to be a lie. Wh-why would anyone ever eat one dog, let alone a...a hot one?

[ ...go go non-Earthling powers? ]

[identity profile] rollypolyclover.livejournal.com 2011-11-12 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
You saved the world?! Wow... Superhero!!

[identity profile] mush-monarch.livejournal.com 2011-11-12 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
... 10 hotdogs... under five minutes? [She's guessing not even Mario is capable of such feat. Maybe Gourmet Guy...]

I suppose that's not true.

[identity profile] magicwarding.livejournal.com 2011-11-12 11:36 pm (UTC)(link)
You've saved the world? That's really amazing, Paprika!

[Roji you did the same thing.]

Paprika? I...found your card, darling. In my book.

The lie...it's the first one, right? I mean, one person saving the world! That stuff only happens in movies and books, doesn't it?

Whoa... less than 30 seconds per hot dog? Not bad Miss!

Yeah, I'm gonna join the mob and go for the third one.

I think answering now would be cheating. [since... everyone ever already guessed correctly.]

[identity profile] ten-ofspades.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
[She'd suspect the world saving thing, but... well she lives in a world full of superheroes. That's nothing out of the ordinary.]

I'd say three. I seriously doubt anyone can eat that much at once without making themselves sick.

[identity profile] bullet-dance.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
E-Eating that much food in so little time sounds painful, Miss Paprika.
menial: ($ is that so)

Since everyone has already answered, you may need to come up with three more things for people to choose from.

How big were these hotdogs?

[identity profile] odastillhatesme.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 10:26 am (UTC)(link)
I bet Paprika would still be beautiful eating 10 hotdogs that quickly~!

[Yeah he knows the third one is a lie. WHATEVER. He gives no shits]

[It's obvious which one is it already. The "spent almost a year here"... is all too true.

The anniversary of her death and second chance is coming up in two months. But, not something she'll think about for now.]

Here's mine:

-I weight over twice what most people here weight.
-I can see literally through people.
-A friend of mine from my world can outrun a car.
