✯ Tenth Session ✯ [Voice]

Hey folks. Sorry to interrupt all the daily fun you're having over the books, but I just want to let people know that I'm going to be off on a mission for the next week. Nothing life threatening, just reading some books on Japan's Edo Period all day long. May learn something new! Hey, if you've been on one of these researching things you should tell me how it went. Weren't too bored right?

Oh and for the New Feathers, and those who don't know me -- [She quickly takes out a pen and writes on the journal page Paprika! ] --

I work as a psychologist back home. Psychologists are people doctors so to speak, who evaluate one's psych and counsels them. That's the concise definition at least. I am particularly versed in dream therapy. So, if you have any troubles you feel like speaking over, I would be glad to help you. Confidentiality is of course the number one rule, so nothing you tell me will be aired publicly.

Oh and one more thing:

✯ Ninth Session ✯ [Voice]

Hey everyone, Paprika here. Word around the village is that we got new people coming in here again. Sorry to everyone who got roped into this crazy place - if you don't think it suits your needs that is. This place can be really insane sometimes, but remember: you aren't alone here. We all deal with the same scientists and helping each other out isn't a crime and you shouldn't feel bad reaching out for help either!

If anyone has anything they want to discuss, I'll be always available so long as I am around this place! I'm a trained and liscensed psychologist back home and things will always be kept private between us. I promise I'm not a big gossiper.

But, enough of that! I think a game would be fun to play. To break the ice and whatnot. So, lets play Two Truths and a Lie. You introduce yourself and then make three statements. One of them has to be a lie and the other two are truth things. The person needs to guess what is the lie and what are the truthes. You can tell a lot about someone from the things they say and the things they don't say, so it could be fun. I definitely encourage the new people to play along with me. Look I'll go first.

✯ Eighth Session ✯ Action throughout the event (at night only)

[During the day, Paprika doesn't have much motivation to be spotted anywhere. She keeps to herself, doesn't so much as glance as the journals, and patiently waits for the sun to set. For when the sun sets that is when all the good boys and girls go to bed. And, she will have to assist them in their endeavor.

Throughout the event, Paprika will be sneaking around the village at night and finding her way into peoples homes. Windows, picking locks - it doesn't matter. All she knows is that she has to get inside. She won't be wearing her regular outfit either: instead she dresses in a more appropriate night time outfit (silly hat included), carrying a small cane styled red umbrella in one hand and a bag of mystical sand (which is just sand from the beach) in the other.

Will you catch her through her escapades? She'll gladly speak for a while. But, no matter what happens one thing is clear: if she comes into your house, she will do whatever she must to make you sleep with her sand.]

[ooc: If you want, feel free to specify the date in which Paprika "visits" your character at night. This will run throughout the entire event, so whatever works for you. She'll be physical as well, so anyone can see her when she sneaks in. More details here]

I hope everyone has a good dream tonight.

[It ends there. She won't be answering anyone who tries responding. If anything it's only a precaution, so no one can say she didn't warn them. Even if she didn't make herself obvious - it wouldn't be much of a surprise if they knew in advance it was her! When it finally becomes dark in Luceti, at a time when most of everyone is sleeping surely, she'll begin what she calls her own personal therapy. She can't help it sometimes. It's been a stressful month or two for her and she needs to take her mind off it. She needs to live a little. Being a dream, the only real way to live is to merge.

So, why not have a little fun in people's dreams?]

[Voice (Morning of the 25th)]

Everyone, first of all please remain calm over the dreams you've been having. The frequent rate of bizarre nightmares means they are very likely planted shifts put into the mainstream subconscious. There is no need to be alarmed. Dreams are just dreams and can't hurt you.

Second of all, I guess I should stop being a lazy bum. I run a small clinic around these parts. Most people would refer to me as a shrink, but I prefer the term 'psychologist'. Sleep and dream therapy are two of my specialties I like to say!

My business is a bit more obscure these days, but if anyone wants to talk about the strange things they've been seeing, I'll gladly be an ear for you to vent and get some professional advice. Free of charge. And if you don't want to talk with me, just go talk with someone. Or write what you have been dreaming of. It could help. I'll be open all day long for those that want to schedule short sessions with me.

Also don't avoid sleep over this. I mean it, that does nothing good to your body.

✯ Seventh Session ✯ [Voice]

[Through the weeks Paprika has been noticing more people coming through, signalling another cycle. It seems that most of the arrivals have already come and still no Atsuko. Well, that's probably for the best anyway. She can't say she would be happy to see the woman stuck here. For some reason she's been thinking about it. Probably because of the rain. The cold, dim demeanor reminded her of her creator. Kind of sad actually.

In the morning, she flips open the journal and begins. She has something she wants to address and given the rain, more people will probably be inside reading to see it.]

So, I see we got some new arrivals in the village. I'm sorry that you all got stuck here. ...Well, only half-sorry. If you actually want to be here, that's fine too. [A small smile.]

My name is Paprika and I'm a psychotherapist. For anyone who doesn't have 'people doctors' in their world, psychotherapists help people cope with certain issues they feel they can't resolve on their own. Like mental stress or the like. Specifically, my specialty is dream therapy. Psychotherapists are known for having interpersonal relationships, so it's like getting to know the person inside and out and not just talking to them for an hour a week.

I'll get to the point: if any of you have things you want to talk about, but don't feel like you have anyone who will listen or want to keep a matter private from others, I'm willing to lend an ear. Everything we speak about is confidential between us and I won't force it on you. I already learned to make unhackable filters on this system. Or, if you prefer, we can talk in person.

It's just an offer I'm willing to give to anyone who needs it. We have plenty of medical doctors, but sometimes the deepest wounds come from within the psyche. This goes for current residents too. Luceti can be a stressing environment and no one would blame you for getting stressed to a point where you need help, if you can acknowledge you need it. I'll be here all day to answer in.

✯ Sixth Session ✯ [Accidental Written?] Dated to Wednesday Afternoon

[During the afternoon, if one is to catch the journal feed they may notice what looks like a black splotch on the feed. If one looks long enough, they will notice that this splotch is growing slowly. Eventually it starts taking on this form:]

[As the splotch grows, the journal camera catches a young woman grumbling, while rubbing her head in frustration. That young woman being Paprika. ...At least it looks like she's grumbling. Because, no matter how much it appears that she's talking, no words come out of her mouth that can be even caught in the slightest by the journal. Meanwhile the inkblot stops as soon as she does. It doesn't seem she has noticed just yet that her journal is open.]

[ooc: Paprika is back from her kidnapping. Her experimentation side-effect is that her words are being translated into the journal as Rorschach Inkblots and none of her speech can be heard. She doesn't realize this and is under the illusion that nothing has happened to her. The blots can be interpreted in whatever way you want your character to see them as. I'll put what she's actually saying in brackets for convenience. Replies will be accompanied by images, so please specify in the subject line if you want it linked as a URL if your computer can't take image loading or if tinypic is blocked for some reason! ✯ Fifth Session ✯ [Video] Forward Dated to Christmas Morning

MERRRRYYYY CHRISTMAS~!♪

[Yep, you see that music note right. Paprika is in a very festive mood. And might be just a little bit buzzed.]

Seasonal greetings everyone. Hope you've all had a great December, but January is coming shortly. Say, there's a tradition in my world: New Years Resolutions. I know Luceti probably doesn't celebrate New Years in January, because of the different worlds and what not, but what are your resolutions for the New Year? Goals, wishes, whatever you can think of! If you make it you have to keep it though - a resolution means you're going to work to making that goal a reality!

...Oh, and I hope some of you don't mind if I snuck into your houses and played Santa for the evening. I didn't touch the cookies for the real Santa if you left them, so don't worry I'm sure he got them!

[Around the afternoon, Paprika was released from the experimental alternate universe and went back to being her cheery dream girl self. And, like most others, she thought she was spared from the continued experiments.

Oh how wrong she was.

Like on the first night she arrived in Luceti, Paprika is going to be dropping into people's dreams through teleportation. Prepare to get your dreamspace invaded citizens of Luceti. Please don't kill her for this - she really doesn't want to imagine the crazy stuff you dream of.]

[The ordeal is finally over. Thank goodness too. But...Paprika knows well enough that trauma has a longer lasting effect. Being reminded of that trauma does not make it better. So she's going to address the public. Her tone is incredibly somber, a far cry from the usual cheeriness she expresses.]

...On a final note - riddle me this. What good does a stack of blank pages do on a clipboard? [She doesn't want to say anything about the woman in the tunnels directly, knowing that she was afraid of the Organization, but hopefully this will be indirect enough that people who met her will pick up on it]

Happy 'One week away from' Halloween everybody. [Cause someone had to say it. Video is on this time because she just wants to see you all dressed up and looking ridiculous. Don't worry though, Paprika is also in a costume that she did not remember putting on. No black wig though - just the outfit.]

The Malnosso don't seem to have very good timing. I'm a little jealous: I like some of the costumes I've been seeing around. So bright and vivid and pretty eye catching. All I got was 'bossy female doctor'. I would have liked something that showed off my legs more. [a small chuckle] Does anyone actually like the costume they got stuffed into? Not that it matters - either way we're stuck like this. Lets pray it isn't permanent.

If it is then I suggest wearing something on top of the costume. Not sure if it will work though.

[As soon as the feed clicks on a woman can be seen, eating a bag of popcorn. She's been flipping around her journal for a while and feels her curiosity at it's peek. That and it's raining. Not a fun day at all.]

Hello everyone, I hope you're staying indoors and keeping warm. 'When it rains, it pours!' as the old saying goes. Don't want anyone catching a flu out there.

Hey, I'm curious: what kind of places does everyone come from? An island, a desolate desert, the ocean, the city- maybe you don't even have a place to call home. This 'different worlds' thing is really exciting! Like a merge of different cultures coming all together...against our wills. [It doesn't sound as good now that she thinks about it.]

...Oh, I hope I'm not prying though. Some people think I do that a lot, so don't be offended. I'm not going to store this information away for nefarious means. It's just a way to spend time waiting for the sun to come up. Exchanging stories that we might never hear in our 'world' sounds fun, don't you think?

Explaining Paprika's powers/Permissions Post

Paprika has a few abilities that I feel should be explained a little.

First thing: Paprika is not a physical being in Luceti.

Now let me clarify what this means. Paprika will still be in Luceti and in the village, but she will be near invisible to everyone. It's the same way in the movie - she is a literal dream and can't just be seen by everybody. If your character has some supernatural sight or is drawn towards dreams for whatever reason, then they will be able to see Paprika outside in the village without her having to resort to image imposing. Just being a magical character won't mean you can see her. Please keep this in mind.

Sidenote: Paprika will be visible through journal cameras, thanks to her image imposing ability.
