Hey everyone, Paprika here. Word around the village is that we got new people coming in here again. Sorry to everyone who got roped into this crazy place - if you don't think it suits your needs that is. This place can be really insane sometimes, but remember: you aren't alone here. We all deal with the same scientists and helping each other out isn't a crime and you shouldn't feel bad reaching out for help either!

If anyone has anything they want to discuss, I'll be always available so long as I am around this place! I'm a trained and liscensed psychologist back home and things will always be kept private between us. I promise I'm not a big gossiper.

But, enough of that! I think a game would be fun to play. To break the ice and whatnot. So, lets play Two Truths and a Lie. You introduce yourself and then make three statements. One of them has to be a lie and the other two are truth things. The person needs to guess what is the lie and what are the truthes. You can tell a lot about someone from the things they say and the things they don't say, so it could be fun. I definitely encourage the new people to play along with me. Look I'll go first.

I have been in Luceti for over a year so far.
I once ate 10 hotdogs under five minutes.

[ Hmm. ] There's no way someone could like the taste of hotdogs that much. And I can believe the rest. So, I'll take the third option for two hundred, Paprika.

...Though, I have to contest that thought of people not liking hotdogs so much. People really would eat that many at once.

I think of eating that many hotdogs and I lose my appetite.

One of my co-workers is a major eating machine. He could definitely eat hotdogs down that fast. He would probably eat most anything put in front of him.

Of course, unlike you and I, he isn't very human in regards to his appetite.

Is he human at all?

Oh yes, most definitely human. He just has the stomach of an otherworldly being.

[ ... ] You're not joking there. [ And it's sad that Cordelia could believe this. Her life. ] So, I guess that proved my point somewhat wrong. He'd be a hit at the hotdog eating competitions.

He would be amazing! But, he's too busy making scientific discoveries of our generation. My co-worker wouldn't let him take a day off just to stuff his face.

I really doubt I'll top that one, but I'll give it a go. My last name is Chase. I'm a good singer. I live with a ghost back home.

It would be a very good joke too, I'm sure!

Number three is true, I'm afraid.

I can't sing. I think I'm capable of shattering glass.

Shattering glass? That sounds like talent of a sort to me, one way or another! The ghost thing sounds pretty crazy though.

If only it were literal, Paprika. [ Then maybe she'd be of some use to her friends. ]

It was kind of crazy in the beginning. His psycho mother wanted my head on a stick, but my friends and I kicked her ass. He's actually really sweet. Really tragic what happened to him. [ She misses Dennis. ;; ]

Careful what you wish for. Shattering glasses could lead to more trouble than good.

[She makes a small 'ah' sound.] Oh dear. That does sound really sad. But, at least it was all resolved in the end and you made a ghost pal. Not changing the past, but making the future better, is what it's all about.
