Hey everyone, Paprika here. Word around the village is that we got new people coming in here again. Sorry to everyone who got roped into this crazy place - if you don't think it suits your needs that is. This place can be really insane sometimes, but remember: you aren't alone here. We all deal with the same scientists and helping each other out isn't a crime and you shouldn't feel bad reaching out for help either!

If anyone has anything they want to discuss, I'll be always available so long as I am around this place! I'm a trained and liscensed psychologist back home and things will always be kept private between us. I promise I'm not a big gossiper.

But, enough of that! I think a game would be fun to play. To break the ice and whatnot. So, lets play Two Truths and a Lie. You introduce yourself and then make three statements. One of them has to be a lie and the other two are truth things. The person needs to guess what is the lie and what are the truthes. You can tell a lot about someone from the things they say and the things they don't say, so it could be fun. I definitely encourage the new people to play along with me. Look I'll go first.

I have saved the world from the brink of doom!
I have been in Luceti for over a year so far.
I once ate 10 hotdogs under five minutes.

That is just so wrong. [A sigh.] Okay, well its deep-fried batter mix, with a ton of sugar on it. ...It taste better than it sounds, I swear.

[Well... she's a psychologist, which would account for the first... And he can't see her bowing under pressure. So-]

In other words, it's something like a donut? I think that sounds rather delicious as it is.

Wow! That's... [Mumbling to herself as she counts something on her fingers.] Longer than I've been here. More than three times as long even! [Oh, but if superheroes never lie about saving the world, and she really has been here that long--] Yotsuba would like to change her answer to the third one, even if hot dogs really are super tasty.

[ Hmm. ] There's no way someone could like the taste of hotdogs that much. And I can believe the rest. So, I'll take the third option for two hundred, Paprika.

I heard something similar. I know a person or two like that from home, actually. Me, though, I just get three square meals and that's all I need.

Oh I don't mind you saying it. I find it pretty flattering in fact. And you're right, I actually grew up in Kansas.

Most people don't even eat three. I know my co-worker rarely ate because she was so busy all the time.

Ah, I see! I bet your wife is really lucky and happy to have you then. So, do you want to try round two?

Lets see what the board says...and you're right, for 200!

...Though, I have to contest that thought of people not liking hotdogs so much. People really would eat that many at once.

A deep-fried donut, I guess. Not nearly as soft. It's definitely good and you should try it if you can!

Yeah, you're right! I'm a really big nightowl, but I guess day isn't that bad.

Then Yotsuba would be right. I never tried eating so much at once, but I bet I could do it if I ever did try. You did a good job, kid.

[He thinks for a moment, then puts up a filter to make this private. He's... aware of Paprika's abilities by now, but he's still not quite sure he wants to outright ask if she can help him, in part because he's not really sure he CAN be helped.]

Well, you get into a few habits, growing up on a farm. I don't miss a meal too often because that used to mean being out doing chores and having to deal with a growling stomach. Not fun, I'll tell you.

[He smiles.] You'd have to ask her that. I'd love to go another round, though.

I think of eating that many hotdogs and I lose my appetite.
