Hey everyone, Paprika here. Word around the village is that we got new people coming in here again. Sorry to everyone who got roped into this crazy place - if you don't think it suits your needs that is. This place can be really insane sometimes, but remember: you aren't alone here. We all deal with the same scientists and helping each other out isn't a crime and you shouldn't feel bad reaching out for help either!

If anyone has anything they want to discuss, I'll be always available so long as I am around this place! I'm a trained and liscensed psychologist back home and things will always be kept private between us. I promise I'm not a big gossiper.

But, enough of that! I think a game would be fun to play. To break the ice and whatnot. So, lets play Two Truths and a Lie. You introduce yourself and then make three statements. One of them has to be a lie and the other two are truth things. The person needs to guess what is the lie and what are the truthes. You can tell a lot about someone from the things they say and the things they don't say, so it could be fun. I definitely encourage the new people to play along with me. Look I'll go first.

No, no, no. The chickens don't dance - the name of the dance itself is just called Chicken Dance!

...that's very clever of you. [ there's genuine impressed-ness there. ] Okay so...I sorta fibbed on the name thing. I know it, but I don't remember it 'cuz of the half-a-brain thing. See?

Ohhhhh! Then Yotsuba will wish every day and dream of daddy! [And then, putting on a 'cool' sounding voice so it sounds as though she doesn't care too much.] But I won't worry about it. No way.

'Wait, we're back on that again?'

Well, I wouldn't mind. Assuming we really are stuck here like they said. But if you're not offering, that seems reasonable.

And to think I used to hate it when I first arrived.

You always struck me as the social kind... Paprika. [Especially since she can speak without an instinctive "ma'am" or "sir".] Want to put another set for me?

If only it were literal, Paprika. [ Then maybe she'd be of some use to her friends. ]

It was kind of crazy in the beginning. His psycho mother wanted my head on a stick, but my friends and I kicked her ass. He's actually really sweet. Really tragic what happened to him. [ She misses Dennis. ;; ]

[You lost her a little there. Nami hasn't quite cottoned on what Paprika is, mind you. |D]

What ...actually happened?

Oh, it's not so bad! The lava is plentiful, but the Great Valoo watches over us, so it stays in the caverns around our home. So long as we keep him pleased, we won't come to any danger. [Zelda volcanology at work or just magic? You decide]

Isn't looking up at the sky and watching the clouds more something you don't really do consciously? It just happens if you get bored.

Hah, nah, it'd take a few bites.

If it were a pack of humans I'd think you could. Or are you guys called prides, too?

Large journeys tend to be the best, don't they?

[She pauses for a moment of silent and breaks it with a slight 'eh']

Dark and light, good and evil, man and woman. With a little bit of spice added in at the end. It's really complicated to explain even now.

Careful what you wish for. Shattering glasses could lead to more trouble than good.

[She makes a small 'ah' sound.] Oh dear. That does sound really sad. But, at least it was all resolved in the end and you made a ghost pal. Not changing the past, but making the future better, is what it's all about.

Did you really? Well, I'm glad you got into the spirit of embracing it. Being outside the norm doesn't necessarily mean bad.

[She does notice the lack of formality and it definitely makes her happy.]

That's over journals. Journals are very disconnecting in a sense - usually it is only through written or spoken word. It isn't physical face to face. [And it helps her out a lot, considering her peculiar case.] Sure I'll be glad to. Though I need time to think of some.

I like that. Why waste time trying to change what can't be changed? Even if you do have a DeLorean in your garage ... Do you have any ghosts in your world?

It sounds it. It's kind of hard to imagine on the sort of scale you're talking about.

Paprika-chan, forgive me for concerning you! It's uh-- it's. Been a long two years, is all I meant.

[Not that there's much of a norm here, but it's something she is nonetheless a little grateful for.]

I see what you mean, now that I think about it. [Someone with Paprika's job, especially.] ... And try the hardest you can.

[Something of a challenge. But, if her experiences with other worlds has warned her, finding out the false one could be a little harder than expects.]

You are probably right.I mean, I've seen some really skinny people eating lots of food, so that might be it.
