Dream Log (Recorded Morn. 4/24)
-Vivid colors. A lot of oranges, reds and yellows.
-Mundane creatures doing bizarre things. A lot of chaotic noise.
-A china doll on an emperor's chair.
-Blue butterflies.

Dream Log (Recorded Morn. 4/25)
-The same things repeat from the last night.
-A man (?) with two heads among the butterflies. Facial features unrecognizable.
-My name is being called by an older sounding voice. Very frantic tone.
-A woman in a white lab coat with black hair.
--I don't know her name but she feels familiar.

[Voice (Morning of the 25th)]

Everyone, first of all please remain calm over the dreams you've been having. The frequent rate of bizarre nightmares means they are very likely planted shifts put into the mainstream subconscious. There is no need to be alarmed. Dreams are just dreams and can't hurt you.

Second of all, I guess I should stop being a lazy bum. I run a small clinic around these parts. Most people would refer to me as a shrink, but I prefer the term 'psychologist'. Sleep and dream therapy are two of my specialties I like to say!

My business is a bit more obscure these days, but if anyone wants to talk about the strange things they've been seeing, I'll gladly be an ear for you to vent and get some professional advice. Free of charge. And if you don't want to talk with me, just go talk with someone. Or write what you have been dreaming of. It could help. I'll be open all day long for those that want to schedule short sessions with me.

Also don't avoid sleep over this. I mean it, that does nothing good to your body.

They... c-certainly seem different from most dreams that I have. Much more detailed and immersive. They actually f-feel far more like memories than dreams.

... But... I'll try to take your advice, Paprika. I know how skilled you are in this field...

All things considered, really? Not bad.

I was jealous. He had some new friends, and the witch made me think he didn't care anymore.

[It's... really weird to think about. Especially since those friends were a talking duck and dog.]

There's nothing interesting about them. [if there's one word that never describes Jilly, it's testy. But, today, she can't keep the terseness out of her voice as she insists.]

Even when they aren't like that, I can't always understand my dreams.

Do you think you really believed her in that dream, when she said that? That your friends would leave you behind?

I guess some people are more influenced by their surrounds than others. I didn't dream at all about anyone in the Valley myself.

Dreams aren't normally meant to be understood. Just interpreted. All the interpretations can be different too.

Forgive me if I sounded intrusive. I guess I'm a bit more curious about them than I should be! [Being a psychologist and all, dreams have always been a big thing.]

Memories. ...I guess that's an interesting thought. That these shifts might just be false memories trying to break into our conscious through the subconscious.

[She makes a thoughtful hum. Having dreams about people one has never met, people they barely know and places they never seen.]

It's just another possibility. I hope you don't lose sleep over these dreams.

[She admittedly doesn't know much about Link's family, but for him to have such thoughts is bizarre.]

Have you ever had any kind of strife with your grandfather before? I'm not talking about in the dream, but in your life. Is he kind to you?

No, we don't fight or anything. [A sigh.] He's actually my adopted grandfather, and we're not really close, but we get on fine. We spar together, but it's not like we're serious rivals or anything.

I had to. There's no way I'd turn against him unless I really believed what I heard.

It's... possible. Though it is strange for a Shift to cause false memories...

... I'll try not to, Paprika. I appreciate your advice immensely. But you know I always appreciate anything your family does for me.

No, not really. Most of the dreams I've been having lately have been really good actually! It's just there's a strange feeling I get after I wake up. It goes away after while, but it's just... odd.

Hey, if they can shift us over to different houses in the middle of the night for no reason, then I don't see what it's too far-fetched.

No problem! I'm always willing to help out a family friend. You just need to ease off and relax a little.

It's a good possibility. I can't recall the last time we had such close together shifts in such a short period of time. Now these beasts are showing up later at night.

It is! But, I find some fun in it at least. A job like this can't be done if you don't like the subject.

Have your dreams been alright though?

Yeah, I think I'll just sit.

[He moves over to the couch and sits down and takes up a relaxed position. He's not too worried about these dreams and isn't afraid to talk about them. So he feels quiet comfortable sitting with his aunt.]

Yeah, it's strange. Lately most of them have taken place in a desert. Although I had one or two where I had the feeling I was actually in space. The space ones I don't wake up with any strange feelings, but always with the ones on the desert.

I'm always meeting interesting people in the dreams and have a lot of fun, but when I wake up, I always tend to have these odd feelings. I feel almost sad, but that's not quiet right. I feel... like I haven't accomplished something and that something important is missing.
