[During the afternoon, if one is to catch the journal feed they may notice what looks like a black splotch on the feed. If one looks long enough, they will notice that this splotch is growing slowly. Eventually it starts taking on this form:]

[As the splotch grows, the journal camera catches a young woman grumbling, while rubbing her head in frustration. That young woman being Paprika. ...At least it looks like she's grumbling. Because, no matter how much it appears that she's talking, no words come out of her mouth that can be even caught in the slightest by the journal. Meanwhile the inkblot stops as soon as she does. It doesn't seem she has noticed just yet that her journal is open.]

[ooc: Paprika is back from her kidnapping. Her experimentation side-effect is that her words are being translated into the journal as Rorschach Inkblots and none of her speech can be heard. She doesn't realize this and is under the illusion that nothing has happened to her. The blots can be interpreted in whatever way you want your character to see them as. I'll put what she's actually saying in brackets for convenience. Replies will be accompanied by images, so please specify in the subject line if you want it linked as a URL if your computer can't take image loading or if tinypic is blocked for some reason! Also this post is image heavy in the comments.]

I don't know. Sometimes I think they just do things to us to see how crazy it can make us.

[A small nod. She looks at the inkblots that formed on the journal. Definitely Rorschach tests.

She looks at him with an apologetic smile, hoping she didn't confuse him too much.]

Well, at least you have an interesting topic of conversation to...talk about.

[A snicker. So he knows about the tests huh? Interesting.

She shrugs at it in the end and sighs annoyingly. Not like she meant to confuse people.]

Have to admit, for a minute, I was wondering why the Malnosso thought we all needed to take a psyche eval.

I think the usual time frame for this stuff to wear off is about a week. You feeling all right? People usually come back pretty beat up.

[That's because you tried to take them apart, Derek, even though you tell other people not to.]

[She nods, giving him a quick thumbs up. Other than the annoyance of the inkblots, she was actually feeling alright for the most part. She then rubs the top of her head a little, a bit sore from being dropped on the ground.]

Knocked your head, huh? Maybe a little ice will help?

[She blinks for a moment and nods. Her image then vanishes from the camera for less than a minute and she returns with a bag of ice, holding up to the camera.]

That works.

[She then puts it on her head and yelps, letting a few more ink stains grace the feed, quickly taking off the ice pack. That was really cold. She never really had to use ice packs before, so actually having one on her head for the first time was definitely jolting.]

[Derek smiles in a way that suggests he's trying not to laugh.]

Yeah...go slow. Be gentle.

[She notices that and frowns, slowly putting it on her head again. Maybe getting a tissue along with it would have been smarter, but she slowly sighs as the ice is applied to the small sore on her head.]

Sorry. If it makes you feel any better, I tend to wince too, even though I know it's coming.

Little bit better?

[She nods a little, gritting her teeth through the cold feeling of the ice pack. How did this actually help people was a wonder to her.]

It's feel a little better once you get used to it; it'll help reduce any swelling and numb the nerves in that area.

[She nods meekly, still grumbling about the icy feeling. At this point she's acting more like a spoiled ten year old who doesn't want to hold the ice to their head, even when they know it would help.]

...Glad you seem all right otherwise.
