[Good evening Luceti. Are you all doing well? Lets hope you're getting some good rest and shut eye because it's usually a long day in the craziest village ever.

Tonight another New Feather will arrive. A rather late arrival, but she came to join all of you. Dropping from the sky at full speed and then disappearing in a flash. Give her a good welcome as she comes to visit you while you sleep. No, she's isn't the tooth fairy. Or the sandman. She's another thing entirely.

[Another little girl?]

I'm not a light. I'm a fairy. What are you doing in the jungle?

I'm trying to stop the fire-breathing lion!

[She stares at the wings, gaping.]

You're a fairy?! But fairies aren't real, are they?

[She smiles a little.] If fire breathing lions are real, then why not fairies?

Speaking of fire breathing lions: isn't that a bit dangerous?

...I guess that's true.

[She seems a little more determined with the next question, though, and adjusts her safari hat just a little to show she meant business.]

Yeah, but I'm not scared! I gotta' put it in a big cage so I can stop it from hurting someone!

Who is it hurting? The creatures in this jungle? [Might as well play along. She doesn't look older than 5]

No, but it could! There's a village of people over there that it likes to bully, so I gotta stop it from burning down their huts anymore. [Killing people though? Ha, never. This is ELICIA'S DREAM, there shan't be any form of killing.]

That's horrible! Are you sure you don't need any help?

You wanna help?

But it's pretty scary! Are you sure you won't be scared?

[She giggles a little]

Maybe just a little. But if you're leading the way I'm sure there won't be anything to worry about.

Okay!! Let's go, Miss Fairy!

[She stops just as she goes, and smiles up at the girl.]

Oh! I'm Elicia~!

Nice to meet you, Elicia-chan. I'm Paprika. Lead the way - I'm in your hands.

[Leading the way!]

Paprika! That's a pretty name!

But doesn't my mama use that in cooking??

[She'll follow her close by, flying to her pace] Paprika is the name of a spice, so there's a good chance she does. Think of me as the spice in your life.

[asobouyo]

[A girly little laugh.]

But what if you make me sneeze?

I'll try my hardest not to. If I do make you sneeze then I'll get you a tissue and apologize.

[She's about to say something, but she suddenly gasps and hides behind a giant jungle leaf with frying pan in hand. She whispers urgently:]

Miss Paprika, over there!

[A giant 2-story lion with red eyes can be seen prowling through the trees beyond, shadowed just a bit by the canopy. He looks... quite intimidating, even though this is a child's dream.]

[Her eyes dart to the lion. She's not too startled - she never worked with kids, but knows that they tend to have overactive imaginations. Paprika flies by Elicia's shoulder to hide herself as well.]

What should we do, Elicia-chan?

[asobouyo]

[She rubs her chin curiously.]

O-okay! I'll distract him, and you can drawl a cage around him!

[Yes, this will forever be the way to stop a fire-breathing lion; it's just basic biology, you know. Hughes and Kirimi have learned this, and now too shall Paprika.

Elicia holds up a small crayon, nodding.]

Is that okay, Miss Paprika? You don't have to help if you don't want to, cause it's my job and I don't wanna put anyone in danger!

[She looks at the crayon curiously, but then takes it.]

Leave it to me, Elicia-chan. Be careful!

[Elicia ran speedily over the brush, around the side of the fierce-looking lion; and when she finally makes it over, she bangs the frying pan in her hand against a nearby tree.]

Heeeey, mister lion, over here!!

[The lion turns and growls, shifting it's whole body to be turned toward the child.]

Just drawl the cage! [she reinforces]

[The large creature sprays fire, hitting some of the trees and turning them into what resembles burnt-out matches. Totally missing our young hero, of course.]

[Paprika quickly flies toward the lion and, while Elicia is distracted, she turns into a different form to make the process a bit easier. As she flies over the lion she takes the crayon and draws out the a square cage, going back and forth several times to draw the bars in between the box.]

[asobouyo]

[The lion is captured, and when it tries to breathe fire, it just coughs up smoke. But there is yet another problem—the jungle is on fire from the earlier sprays of flame! Elicia runs over and looks quite worried.]

Oh no! The jungle...

[Once Paprika finishes with the cage she notices the fire as well. Normally she would try to get Elicia out because she is just a kid, but this is her dream.]

Elicia-chan, what do you want to do? [If the girl starts to panic then she might need to convince her to change the dream]

[asobouyo]

We need to put out the fire somehow!!

[She looks around nervously, and runs toward an opening in the brush—there's a large stream here, with a nice rushing current.]

If we can make the water go to the fire, we can put it out!

[She nods.]

I'm on it.

[Paprika goes down to the running current and rustles around some of the bushes near by. Out of them comes a fire hose.] Will this do?
