Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ First Dream Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Forwarded to late night

[Good evening Luceti. Are you all doing well? Lets hope you're getting some good rest and shut eye because it's usually a long day in the craziest village ever.

Tonight another New Feather will arrive. A rather late arrival, but she came to join all of you. Dropping from the sky at full speed and then disappearing in a flash. Give her a good welcome as she comes to visit you while you sleep. No, she's isn't the tooth fairy. Or the sandman. She's another thing entirely.

Enjoy having a special visitor in your dreams.]

[ooc: Please read this and fill out this (its at the bottom) before posting here. Thanks!]

A magic shop. So magic exists in your...world then? It's 'world' right? I still need to get my terms down.

'World' seems to be the generally accepted term. But then there are those of us who come from the same world at different points in time. I come from Earth in the year two thousand and two, and I've already made a friend from the eighteen sixties.

But yes, 'world' seems to be the word unless you know for certain that the two of you are already from the same world. Then it's 'time', or 'place'.

[Paprika suddenly changes her clothes into that of what would resemble a news reporter, jotting down Giles's notes on a pad.]

2002? Guess that means I come from the future. Don't worry, the world hasn't blown up or anything and everything is still fairly normal.

You mentioned someone named Buffy - she's here in Luceti too, right?

Yes, she is.

The red feathers? Those were hers'.

Aah. Red for a 'Slayer'. Fitting a bit. She's not too ruthless is she?

[Adamant]No, she isn't.

She should be, but she isn't. "Slayer" is...more of an inherited term. You're chosen, you don't choose.

Like a right of passage, hm. Must be tough on her.

It is. And it's not a right of passage. It's a life. She is the Slayer and she will be the Slayer until the very distant day when she finally dies.

Wow. ...That's so deep. Do you moonlight as a screenwriter?

[He laughs] No. I just think about things too much.

The bit about the watching? That wasn't metaphorical. "Watcher" is actually my job title. We're supposed to train the Slayers, and guide them. Research the demons so they can kill them.

In my case though, I started going beyond my job description several years ago.

So you're kind of like this Buffy's spiritual adviser. Like a guru.

She's used the word, yes.

Less spiritual, however. We went on a spirit journey once, but just the once. And she still hasn't stopped making fun of me for it.
