Tonight another New Feather will arrive. A rather late arrival, but she came to join all of you. Dropping from the sky at full speed and then disappearing in a flash. Give her a good welcome as she comes to visit you while you sleep. No, she's isn't the tooth fairy. Or the sandman. She's another thing entirely.

[The library flickers again, back to before the destruction. Giles is there with another woman. She's sitting at a computer, he's pacing around her, they're both incredibly agitated. But the scene fades quickly. Giles looks visibly shaken as it does so]

[The flicker doesn't shock her, but seeing Giles get shaken up does worry her a little.]

Hey, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you, really! [She walks over and pats his arm a little] Don't you have to keep looking for that thing.

[But he does go back to searching] I've s-stopped thinking about her. It's better that way.

I see. [She follows his lead and starts searching again.] She must have been a reliable person.

[Giles sighs and stops] It's not here.

[Giles blinks as lucidity assets itself, then he stares at Paprika for a long second before he yelps in fright and tries to scramble away]

Is something wrong? [She looks around her surroundings, her wings visible for the first time.] I don't see anything.

Look, I don't know what we did to offend you this time, but we all have bigger concerns and Xander hasn't even met you yet...

[Then he sighs tiredly]

...but you're not the First, are you? She can't talk.
