Yes, I'm not a doctor myself so I am not very good to explain it but...
[Well, if he's going to ask for help he's obviously going to have to talk about it.]
I have an illness, normally it does nothing and I can have a normal life, but stress and tension trigger it up. To explain it simply it's something that feeds from stress and enhances paranoia. Uhm... Normally if someone has a phobia about spiders and they see a black spot on the wall out of the corner of they eyes they may think it's a spider at first glance. This illness causes that but with an increased edge, it's not just a black spot on the wall, it's basically everything, everything around you suddenly seems threatening and scary. Which increases the stress and the paranoia...
It can get pretty bad. I'm receiving medical treatment for it, unfortunately ever since the last draft it has been proved that even with the medicine I can still have a breakdown if enough mental stress accumulates. So... If he therapy can help with that, even if it's relieving it a bit I think that would definitively help, but it may take a while even if I don't make it difficult on purpose. I assure you that I try my best to not stress myself but this place isn't exactly a relaxing resort at times.
