[Around the afternoon, Paprika was released from the experimental alternate universe and went back to being her cheery dream girl self. And, like most others, she thought she was spared from the continued experiments.

Oh how wrong she was.

Like on the first night she arrived in Luceti, Paprika is going to be dropping into people's dreams through teleportation. Prepare to get your dreamspace invaded citizens of Luceti. Please don't kill her for this - she really doesn't want to imagine the crazy stuff you dream of.]

I don't want others to turn away from me if I tell them the truth, Miss Paprika. What if they come to hate me as well? I'd end up alone and no one would trust me.

I've been let down by so many before and caused such disappointment with others. I even treated people terribly recently because of the experiments, breaking their trust now is something I can't afford to do.

[Library. Unlike last time, it's bright and the bookshelves are whole. There's an upper level and a lower level. Paprika and Giles land on the upper one, and six teenagers sit crowded at a table on the lower, chatting and laughing.]

[Giles takes off his glasses and starts cleaning them, not quite managing to meet Paprika's gaze.]

...well, we can't have that.

Can't get anything done when you're insane, unless you're trying to end the world. And there are still people I'd worry.

Teleported through dreams? [That sounds interesting for just a second, but considering his nightmare, and thinking about being in her shoes... Yeah, no thanks. Luke kneels down to survey the flowers - He can give Paprika one pretty sight, at least; the Selenia flowers that change colors according to his emotions.] I can't imagine doing that...

[And what she says next makes him go silent. That's true... but still.] Sometimes they look really real. I didn't even know I was dreaming until you said so...

[He's silent, still gazing at his hand. He had only got this far because of his courage, hadn't he? But hadn't Farore just given that to him? Now she's nowhere near him - he feels very alone.]

...I guess, [he finally sighs, although, really, he still doesn't quite look like he believes her.] What should I do if they come back? I don't wanna fail again...

Do you think it's odd? People have said I'm a little strange, so maybe it's just how I am.

...But this...is a quiet place. A safe place. No... it's really not safer here than anywhere else. [There's a man in a dark suit standing at the entrance. He doesn't look like any particular person, just a man in a suit, arms held stiff and hands clasped in front. Aerith turns her head to look at him, sticks out her chin, and stubbornly goes back to taking care of the flowers.] But it feels safe, and that's what matters.

...Just ignore him. He's being rude.

[As he cleans them Paprika looks over the side to the lower level, observing the six briefly before turning back to Giles.]

People who try to end the world aren't insane. They just think everything else is inferior, swelling up their egos and obliterating all signs of reason that says otherwise. Which is everything around them.

There's no need to tell them now. But, I think you should at least confide in more than just me. Unless you don't have anyone that close to you yet.

That's a very accurate description, actually. The Master, Angelus, the Mayor, Adam, Glory - makes me wonder just who you've had to deal with in the past.

[Giles leans against the railing bordering the higher level, watching the six carefully, protectively. Sometimes there are three, or four, sometimes there's a woman there with short black hair and dark eyes. Sometimes its in complete disarray, and at one point the walls appear to be lined with dynamite.]

I don't know, to be honest.

[He takes a deep breath and closes his eyes] ...Paprika, I am not a good person. I can be nice, I can help, I can be there for the ones I love. And since coming to the village I have grown to be friends with and care for a great deal of people.

But they are good, they are kind, and I am not. I realized a while ago that it was probably better that way. And if I forgive myself for the things I do, I might forget that.

There's no telling for sure whether they will come back. But, I can't tell you what to do. It's something you need to decide on your own. I'm not a fighter of any kind.

It does, but it came from the overuse of the machines we worked with. [Well, for Atsuko at least. She reaches into her pocket and pulls out a small white headpiece.] DC Mini. With two of these hooked up to each other, anyone can share and enter dreams.

It's a pain, but not something I'm controlling right now.

That's how dreams regularly are. You're in a subconscious state of mind and your conscious mind doesn't normally snap and make you realize when you're dreaming. Some people can, but normally people can't. Don't fret about it a lot.

I'm guessing this area is prone to crime then. A shame that the church had to suffer.

[She turns her head around to the man at the entrance and then back to Aerith.] Who is he?

It is, but I don't find it that amazing. The person who made it is more extraordinary in my opinion. [She lets the machine fade away.]

Speaking of amazing - what you were doing back there. Now that was amazing.

You are a good person, Giles. You just have some demons and urges in you, but everyone has them. It's just a matter of regulating them.

Exactly. No need to be bashful about them. Powers like that never came from my world, so seeing them is always incredible.
