Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ First Dream Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Forwarded to late night
[Good evening Luceti. Are you all doing well? Lets hope you're getting some good rest and shut eye because it's usually a long day in the craziest village ever.
Tonight another New Feather will arrive. A rather late arrival, but she came to join all of you. Dropping from the sky at full speed and then disappearing in a flash. Give her a good welcome as she comes to visit you while you sleep. No, she's isn't the tooth fairy. Or the sandman. She's another thing entirely.
Enjoy having a special visitor in your dreams.]

Still stuck. I need to figure out a way to break out of this.

"See, I told you. Whatever it was, he was imagining it."
The robed girl shoots Jason another look. "Oh, shut it."
"If what he heard is not to be found on the ground, then perhaps..." The noble-dressed woman takes a look to the trees above, "perhaps the air."
"Yeah, okay, sure." Jason is being skeptical. Or just annoying. Or both. Despite this, he's at least humoring her by following her gaze. "Look, Bronera, the scenic shourcut thing is nice and all, but it's not exactly a shortcut if Zain keeps stopping us for who-knows—whoa. You guys never said anything about freaking giant fireflies. Hey, Brooke, get a load of this!"
The as-of-yet quiet girl looks for herself, her previous worry changing into mild confusion. Something seems odd to her about this, but she can't quite place it just yet.]

I'm not a firefly.

The robed girl shrugs. "You're getting annoying again."
"Well, you don't have to hit me!"]
That's enough, you two. [Brooke glances between Jason and Sara.] Sara, don't beat up my brother, okay? And Jason, just...stay quiet for awhile.
[Both reluctantly comply, so she turns her attention to the visitor.]
Who are you?
no subject
I'm Paprika. Are you from a place called Luceti?

I— [The answer is interrupted; everything around them seems to fizzle momentarily, something like a brief moment of television static. Brooke appears to notice this as she suddenly looks around at everything, but her companions seem entirely oblivious.
"Brooke?" Bronera is addressing her now, out of concern. "Is something the matter?"
She hesitates a moment or two before replying, and her response is to both of the questions she was asked.]
Yeah.

I hope I'm not interrupting anything.

"Jason, your sister told you to shut up, so shut up."
"She told you to leave me alone."
"She told me to stop hitting you. Which I did."
Bronera and Zain exchange glances. It doesn't look like Jason and Sara are going to be leaving each other alone anytime soon. Brooke ignores this and goes on to answer Paprika.]
I'm not really sure if you are or not, but something seems really weird all of a sudden now that you've shown up.
["Now who's imagining things, huh?"
Zain decides to intervene at this point. "Hey, Sara, stop bothering Jason for a bit. And, we all know Brooke doesn't screw around like some people do."
Jason's reaction is an annoyed one, albeit not angry. He may be used to this kind of treatment. "Hey! Double standards, Zain! Double freaking standards!"]

Thinking about it, she realizes that everything that had occured here up to Zain's hearing things was part of a memory, but everything afterward had been different...
The static effect kicks in a few more times, then the entire scene appears to shatter, leaving only Brooke and Paprika floating in a void, surrounded by stars—all red, green, blue, or purple—in every direction. A single green star directly above Brooke glows brighter than the rest.]
Whoa, that's a little freaky. Okay, so, what's going on here?
no subject
You're in a dream. Mind telling me your name, maybe? I'm not a terrorist, I promise.
no subject
It's Brooke.
But hey, if this is supposed to be some kind of dream—[One she's now aware of, too.]—how come we're talking as if I'm awake? [She's trying to make at least some sense out of this; talking to someone she's never seen before while floating in the middle of who-knows-where, while it's becoming clear that she's actually asleep, is striking her as pretty weird.]
